I haven’t played it, I guess this one should come after Metroid II shouldn’t it?
Anyway, yeah, I obviously know about Super Metroid and it is one of the prettiest games even today.

Luckily the fan game AM2R, or the slightly less good but still excellent 3DS remake do for Metroid II what Zero Mission did for the original.
I just started with the Metroid saga (it is never too late I guess) and I started with Zero Mission, I am actually struggling with what is next for me, whether to start with AM2R or the 3DS one… Both look appealing to me, but as I don’t have nostalgia googles for the older 2D games and the 3DS one has always called my attention, I might lean more to it… On the other hand, AM2R is a fan game… And I have a huge respect for those…
I only have a Spanish one in my sight (it is like a reborn, I haven’t even signed in yet, I had an account for the previous website) called foros dz.
I also have some other Spanish forums bookmarked, gaming related but I think they are just dead.
TBH it’s pretty barren. I noticed that even comment sections are drying up.
You mean across many websites don’t you?
I definitely see a lot of websites with a comment box that it is just a wasteland lol.
I am sometimes like, jeez why even bother to include a comment box 🤣
I am bilingual too, but I don’t understand the other languages that show in my feed but Spanish and English.
I don’t have that issue with Lemmy, everything here is in English, and there used to be some Spanish communities (the instance might have died because it hasn’t showed up in my feed for so long).
No time to self host their own social media I guess.
Yeah, and I am the one suffering blocking everyone lol.
I don’t think it is that much for me, I kinda like “infinite content” what I don’t like is being bombarded with content that is not in English or Spanish… Which I clearly specified within the Mastodon settings to be my preference… So I spend most of the time navigating through said hashtags feeds blocking users speaking in other languages 😑
It seems that the hashtags feed doesn’t care about language preferences… Or the users posting don’t follow the language rules or whatever.
Is this using a PC? Maybe I would.
If this is from a smartphone… I wouldn’t I guess… I often prefer to retype than dealing with the select text feature… It seems I get the same experience in the most recent mobile OS that I had when I used my iPod Touch 4G a lot of years ago, why does it feel that this feature hasn’t even evolved? I can’t be the only one that feels it is terrible to use, I prefer to use the keyboard gestures than dealing with it.
Now you ignore the computer to browse the internet on your phone.
I am so impressed about the people that still mainly browse the Internet using a PC… But I am more impressed that people don’t have a PC in their dwelling…
Maybe it is so millennial from my part, but in the house we still have a dedicated “PC room” with a printer that the whole family uses, of course our family browsing experience was almost exclusively done from said room years ago.
Yeah perhaps.
It wouldn’t be the first time that scrolling issues exist in Android apps…now that I think about it, iOS should also handle the cache better for the app in the background (as long as it is not running extensive stuff in the background, like downloads in the background such as Spotify, Netflix, Plex etc. it won’t be killed… Funny that it is the opposite with Android haha), so I suppose iOS users are more than happy with Voyager.
I should have known 😆
I was so happy when I could experience “Apollo” on my Android phone (I moved from iOS to Android several years ago and Apollo was the app I missed the most… Until I found Boost and Sync).
I love Voyager, but there are two issues that keep me from using it as much as I could:
Scrolling smoothness is not yet there compared to other apps, has it greatly improved? Yeah! Especially in the most recent updates, but I think it can improve more.
MIUI really don’t like it lol, it kills the app so fast (it even kills it when using the inbuilt web browser sometimes) I tried all the good measures to try to keep it alive in the background without any luck.
Now that we are at it, it would be great that this app (and all the other Lemmy clients) always remembered where they were, even if the app gets closed… You know like Sync for Reddit/Lemmy does.
Even with those two bugs I still keep Voyager in my top 3 Lemmy clients!
I’m skeptical that the code would be bad, considering Summit is a top-notch app.
Well, then I am gonna turn said option again when the new update comes 😁
Congratulations that you finally decide to open source it, I hope the nature of Lemmy didn’t force your hand :p (joking… A bit).
In real honesty I can’t wait to see the big improvements the app gets along the way, you have pretty much perfected this app with each update and if the community can help you to improve it further it just means you are gonna keep spreading the love with this app ;)
Why this disclaimer? Is this something that people that open their projects should know?
Well well, this is a big week for breakthroughs wouldn’t you say? 🎉
Is the prefetch option setting related to it? I haven’t noticed since I disabled it yet.
I didn’t know, I actually was gonna make my way with the 2D series first and at the very end the Prime series.
