I have supported Ukraine from the start, including policies that provide them with offesnive weaponry, but the surprised Pikachu face of European leaders who choose to provide weapons to Ukraine, for use against Russia, and are now being attacked, is getting tiring.

Yes, you’re in a war, whether your population is bought into it, or not.

Providing material lethal aid is legitimate casus belli, that includes any attacks Russia might launch against America, or assist with, in response to their support of Ukraine e.g. targeting data for Iran.

It is reasonable to not support Ukraine on the grounds that you don’t want to go to war with Russia, but if you are directly supporting them, stop crying about the blowback.

That’s not to say that NATO armies lack the potential, or capacity, to supersede either those of those states, but as of today, they do not have it.
