One of my acquaintances started a fairly large group text thread recently. Somewhere along the way someone said, “Who’s the android user in here ruining everything?” I never said anything in the thread, so I felt like I was in the corner of a crowded room wearing a disguise about to be exposed.

You know, I’ve seen so many ridiculous memes labeled “me_irl” that it sorta lost all meaning. Situations that would require such outlandish boneheadedness that I began to believe that “me” referred more to a hypothetical internet moron than it did to a real person. But this, no. This actually is me in real life sometimes. Kinda refreshing that the phrase makes sense again.
