  • Voyager is also a solid choice. I also spend quite a bit of time in the PieFed dev channel, and I’ve seen the Photon dev hard a work on PieFed support. You really can’t go wrong with a lot of the Lemmy/PieFed clients.

That being said, Blorp has support for PieFeds multi community feeds, mark comments as answer, react to post/comments with an emoji, and I’m working on wrapping up full support for PieFed polls.

  • I’m working on the comment jump button already. Here’s a little demo if you wanna try it on web, but it’s still pretty janky. It’s to the left of the community sidebar on desktop.

NSFW is something I’m actively working on, but I’m not really sure the best way to solve it. I wanna be very careful that I don’t show anyone NSFW content they didn’t mean to see.

    Here’s some ideas:

    • Remember when a user has already unmasked a specific post so they don’t have to unmask twice.
    • You’re unmask an entire community is not a bad idea
    • I suppose if you click into an image, it should unmask. But I will probably make it so if someone sent a link to the image already expanded it would remain masked. Just to prevent someone direct linking you to NSFW content without your consent.

Open to whatever other ideas you can think of.

  • I haven’t really had experience in customer service, so I haven’t really been numbed to the negativity. I have a lot of respect for people who have, and I’m truly sorry for anyone that mistreated you when you were working customer service.

I don’t expect everyone to learn how to use GitHub. I’m doing my best to triage the feedback here into an actionable roadmap. Sorry if I make mistakes along the way.

  • This is very hurtful. I’ve poured hundreds of hours and hundreds of dollars into Blorp, because I wanted to be part of a movement that pushes technology in the right direction. Imo, big tech is evil and has ruined the internet. I wanted to believe as a person working in tech that I could be part of a group of people that fixes that.

If you look at my account history, you will see that I’ve spent many many hours replying to every single person who needs help using my app. Typically an app like this would be managed by an entire team of people, but it’s just me, and I’m very burnt out.

I don’t understand why everyone here is so negative. I’m on your side. I want you to have the best experience on Lemmy/PieFed that you possibly can. I’m not asking for your money or even for you to use my app. All I’m asking is if you have feedback, can you please raise it politely.

  • Thank you, your feedback has been helpful. Clearly I need to implement auto collapsing comments with a negative score. I’m also going to see if I can use PieFed’s “attitude” feature to collapse comments from overwhelmingly negative accounts.

If you look at my account history, you will see that I’ve spend hours responding to my 99.9% polite users. As a mature adult, all I’m asking is you consider how many thankless hours I spend maintaining this free and open source software. Please have some common decency.
