Yes, but not as much as I used to, for several reasons:

• The titles I enjoy are few and far between these days. Most titles boild down to “just another call of shooty” or something else that offers nothing new.
• Adult responsibilities takin up a lot of time.
• Other projects taking up time.

The latest Rimworld expansion looks interesting, though. I’ll probably grab it once my current pet project is winding down.

To add to this: an actual calendar on which you can write important stuff is very helpful. Not a digital one, use one made out of paper, and keep a pen nearby. It’s easier to have a quick glance for you important stuff that way, and it makes it easier to coordinate stuff if there are others in the household.

The official stance is that they’re not being released until after the war is over. But there are some indicators:

• A defensive force usually loses a lot fewer personnel
• There is plenty of evidence of russia using baiting/sacrificial assaults, one step removed from human wave attacks.

It is therefor reasonable to estimate that Ukraine has lost much fewer than russia.

The estimates are Casualties, which include injuries.

In an offensive war, generally speaking, casualties are usually estimated to be two to three injuries (moderate to severe) per death. Basically, a casualty is anyone who has sustained injuries that put them out of the fight either temporarily (a couple of hours+) or permanently.

If these numbers are correct*, we’re talking about roughly 250k to 333k killed, the rest being injured.

Source: It was a rule of thumb I learned eons ago in the army. I’m curious how accurate it is nowadays with irate drones violently shoving unlubed howitzer shells down your throat.

*: The official stance from Ukrainian intelligence is that these numbers have been visually confirmed. They are reasonably close to the estimates published by british intelligence, so while inaccuracies are to be expected due to the fog of war, it is probably the closest official number we’ll have until the war is over.

Another point of (minor) contention for me is the fact that fresh water isn’t a limited resource in many parts of the world. Sure, some places it is, but a default of needing to save on water seems like a very limited frame of mind in the same way one shouldn’t assume everywhere needs to focus on retaining building heat by recycling waste heat.

It kinda pisses me off that they used an ANSI keyboard for ths picture and not ISO. No true Scotsman Dane uses ANSI.

A couple of goats share the same forest as the hens. And knowing goats, there’s bound to be some harassment involved.

Sadly I haven’t played much or at all lately. Well, not sadly, actually: I fell into a rabbit hole of a personal project of mine, and this is where I’ve been for the past two weeks.

Having said that, I think the last game I played was FTL.

Almost out, picking up three more cartons tomorrow from my supplier of eggs from free range, grass fed, goat harassed happy hens.

The cartons are usually whatever my supplier happen to have there and then. Pretty standard egg cartons as sold at the store.

I usually use pairs as it’s fastest to mentally intuit how many eggs remain that way.

Add big displacement and you’ve got yourself a Dodge or some of the Fords.

Additional trivia: The worst car I ever owned was a Ford Sierra. I absolutely hated it, but it sometimes got me from A to B. I seriously considered attacking it with an angle grinder and a welder. It already both looked and performed like shit, why not at least make it look cool? I joked about giving it an exterior looking like Mustang.
