Honestly this is just what natural food tastes like when not filled with sugar. It takes a little getting used to if you are normally having processed stuff.

I have over a decade of experience in software engineering and am struggling to find a new job at the moment. Every other time I’ve looked in the past it’s been way easier.

Obviously I could have a job if I wanted, but if you don’t want to compromise on role/pay then things are really tough at the moment.

The tech hiring market is most definitely NOT hot right now. It’s the worst it’s been since the 2008 crisis aftermath.

Obviously there are still things out there but companies are hiring less and the market is flooded with big tech layoffs. Companies are being flooded with applications for available roles.

Startups are also struggling to raise which means there are less new jobs in startups too.

Yeah I was a Relay user too and Thunder is definitely the Lemmy app that comes closest to recreating that experience.

People really seem to be sleeping on Thunder. For me it’s by far the slickest of all the Lemmy apps I’ve tried.

Cats need to scratch to maintain their nails. If you don’t provide them with something you’re happy with them scratching then get ready for scratched furniture

By far the best Lemmy app. Really reminiscent of Relay for Reddit, which coincidentally was by far the best Reddit app IMHO.

To be fair I don’t think that can be entirely prescribed to drop in user base; the internet ad market in general is absolutely tanking at the moment.

I picked up Warhammer for the same reasons and have been loving it! I’m not into the gaming side, I just enjoy building the models and painting them.
