I get that! And it’s not really about creating enemies. More of a digital utopia where we see what’s the better option

yeah they rather “Skeet” it
Jack Dorsey being one of the founders certainly has something to do with that, from a UX and UI point of view. Other than that, I don’t think is accidental. Also could be some marketing in place and certain “influencers” - of all sorts - pushing the platform online
I use Alexandrite on my laptop and really like it
there’s a certain orange guy overseas doing things that might make this “Army of Europe” a necessity. and why not? I’m pro EU. when we work together on all levels, we can be a strong force. and that includes military.
l’union fait la force!
Russia doesn’t want peace. Russia wants Ukraine
Politics and social media both have a major impact on your life. Imo it’s impossible to disconnect (pun intended) them from each other. Social media is basically the 21st century version of the town square. People talk about politics, that’s just how it is

Online communications for an organisation that focuses on local youths. Everything they organise, do, etc… we offer them a platform and also acts as a link between them and the local politicians. Since we’re an online platform, it’s a very important job (or so it feels) but it’s not always easy to explain. So most of the times I just describe it as: “I post a lot of things on social media and our website as well as writing a newsletter, plus I go to a lot of events”
Trying to ditch all meta/big tech apps, tho, but almost impossible with this job. We rely on Instagram and TikTok a lot (our target audience is 16-30)… That’s definitely a downside. Looking to expand to fediverse as well, but it’s a slow process
right! i was half asleep and not thinking that well anymore…
Biggus Dickus, I remember my dad cracking up over it the first time I saw Life of Brian (not his first time, obviously). And now, more than 15 years later we’re still in tears when just mentioning the name or watching the scene for the x’th time
edit: Life of Brian, not Holy Grail… sleep induced brain didn’t work that well anymore
Far East Movement were visionaries!
