"narrative link” to the long-in-development sequel.
“at E3 2017, when the publisher revealed it would take the form of a prequel.”
So… prequel or sequel? Mfs don’t even know what they write about
And unfortunately the game doesn’t seem to have been a huge success commercially.
Iirc they (Ubi) shoot themselves in the foot, because they released BGE at same time (or right after?) as Price of Persia SoT
Shiit my hopes are TS one day get NightDive treatment
Ubisoft or not, it still adds to the game preservation issue
There are free alternatives like odysee, but creators have no incentive to move there
Yeah, but then you’re left with about half of work from game
Yeah, but wasn’t Unity a sinking ship? I though developers started moving to alternatives after they announced the runtime fee
And assets, don’t forget assets. If you use any bought assets from assets stores (Unity / Unreal, heck even textures from textures.com), the licenses don’t allow you to redistribute those in raw form.
Even if you’re using only things you have copyright to, it’s still not a good idea to license it under same terms as code. Code licenses =/= art licenses
That’s why Starfield fails so hard, they had to actually come up with new ideas for once.
I actually enjoyed Starfield’s lore, it had interesting takes on sci-fi tropes and was pretty consistent.
If only it wasn’t held back by ancient engine and gameplay elements weren’t so disconnected, it’d have been fine
This. Electronics like to just not work when you really really need them.
You just dissed most of redditors. I applaud
You can switch gears when you see yellow light already so you don’t lose green light time. It takes me something between 0.5 to 1 sec to switch to first gear when my foot is at rest (not counting reaction time).
With how much effort they put into being most despicable company for game preservation, I’m wondering if their employees aren’t constantly adraid of being assaulted in public.
“What you don’t want to pay $1 each time you reload a gun in game??” - John Riccitiello
InfonityForReddit is still going strong and doesn’t have ads. You have option to help dev pay their fee or compile your own apk with your own key and use it for free. It doesn’t change fact that both service and community is mostly cancer…
Dunno if popular, never read guides but mine build got pretty cheesy
Str or dex, health and stamina
Two Str / dex - scaled one handed weapons (there are ashes that convert damage scaling AND add elemental damage)
Medium armor
Shield just in case for archers
For mobs - offence is best defense
For bosses - offence + fire / lightning
Edit: I’m assuming we’re talking base game, not dlc
Ok, and…?
Valve doesn’t care if you’re infringing another company’s copyright (i.e. they’re not held liable) and they’re not your legal help either. The developer / publisher is liable for that. All Valve has to do is to respect dmca requests.
There are many “legally distinc” clones of games on Steam. Hell, Palworld exists and they didn’t have a problem getting to the store front.
For Dolphin the problem was a gray area of how it circumvents Wii’s drm.
I wish they could clarify things a bit.
Are these going to be polished short games or rough prototypes? DF did once release a pack of unfinished but playable games before, I’m guessing it’s going to be something like this…?
And how they’re going to stay afloat?
Is it going to be a subscription? Each game costing $1? Or they’re hoping to strike gold with one of the prototypes and turn into full game before running out of money?
