Where I live, we have voting machines with a paper receipt. Voters use a touchscreen and then get a printed ballot. The voter can then check to make sure that what they cast electronically is correct, and then the paper ballot is scanned and saved. You can perform an audit anytime you like to compare the instant electronic results to hand counted ballots.
He gave an excellent performance in Dallas Buyers Club. That’s about the only one I’m aware of.
Oh look! Pedro Pascal. Again.
Lodge 49. Someone mentioned that one of the stars said they would jump at the chance to restart the show. You would think that struggling streaming networks would pick up shows that have built-in following.
Came here for this. Still hoping someone will restart it at some point. It had excellent world building.
Was this the reboot where the castaways are rescued and they turn the island into a resort?
Stargate Universe.
Like anything competing for my time, it has to be something I’m really interested in watching/playing/doing. Too many other things going on to devote time to crappy games, books, or tv shows.
Still less than cable/broadcast which runs fifteen to twenty minutes of ads per hour. Given time, I’m sure streaming will catch up.
It will be interesting to see what happens when the studios figure out nobody wants to pay for slop.
I recognize that face, if not the name. That dude has been in a gazillion films and shows. RIP
The furniture makes this look like one of those old timey recreation portraits you could get taken at the mall.
“Lodge 49” was mentioned in this thread. I’ll add “Rubicon” to the list.
AMC has funded and then killed so many good and inventive shows.
I wish they’d restart/reboot this one.
BBC’s “Survivors”. The 1970s original, not the later remake. About the people left over after a pandemic.
1971 “The Guardians” also from BBC. About fascism in a near future UK.
“Thriller” another British show from 1974. It’s an anthology series centered around a mystery/suspense/horror story each week. The Helen Mirren and Bob Hoskins episodes are particularly good.
The original iMac G5 was designed to be repairable by the customer. You could even call Apple support and do free part exchanges under warranty.
Yeah, they lost me there.
