You have to elaborate on how it’s a bad argument. The existence of games at libraries doesn’t contradict what I’m saying at all.

People argue it’s immoral to pirate games because the artists must be compensated, but no one says that about buying used media or loaning from the library even though the artist still receives nothing.

Both loaning and used sales are shown to increase new book sales, so why wouldn’t the same be true for games?

You said that piracy is a moral imperative under these circumstances, and I’m going further to say it was never immoral in the first place.

Also of note is that libraries can’t loan out games for which there is no physical copy, which means big publishers are actively killing library availability as well.

  • Assuming you mean eat less of the cereal and not less vegetables, that is what I’m suggesting would be preferable to me, yes.

The listed serving size is 2/3 of a cup for 65% of your daily fiber, but I think in reality most people are pouring much larger cereal bowls. I can understand why many people who try to eat healthy for the first time end up feeling sick if it’s this easy to hit 40 grams of fiber just in the first meal of the day.

I’m not saying no one should ever eat it, just that it seems impractical to me as a meal and more useful as a supplement.

  • "It’s easier for women to detect the ‘cunning’ kind of cuteness in female characters, whereas men would probably go What’s the difference? (laughs)

    女性キャラの“あざとさ”は、同じ女性が見たほうが気付きやすく、男の人だと「何が違うの?」となる部分でも見抜けるんです。ディアナ警察はみんな、女性スタッフだったはずです。(笑)

I had absolutely no idea what he was talking about until I dug into the term あざとさ. I’m not qualified to tell anyone about it, but my summarized understanding is that it’s using charisma and/or vulnerability in a manipulative way, but not necessarily to control or cause harm. The idea is to get other people to feel positively about you, and whether you abuse that to farm unreturned favors is another story. It’s something children do instinctively, so it makes sense it’s an element they’d focus on in portraying a small child.

Here is one of the pages where I read about it:

I really like the Firefox translation:

  • I don’t think they mean that having AI is vital. I think they mean it’s vital that the rich not have a monopoly on AI.

Regardless whether AI is useful, its production would never have become this harmful if a rich person didn’t think they could own it and make money with it. Making a thing publicly accessible makes it less attractive to capitalists.
