I’ve made the seitan recipe printed on the back of Bob’s Red Mill brand vital wheat gluten, and it had a taste and texture similar to bologna. I don’t think asking someone a trick question in an interview is a good way to gauge if they’ll push back and ask questions on the job. Also, I think that behavior is more related to the employer creating an environment where employees feel safe doing that, and isn’t really something you can draw out of a candidate during an interview, of all times.

Not really. A ponzi scheme involves paying people out of capital received from new investors rather than profit. AI, crypto, NFTs, basically every venture-capital based tech product of the last couple decades could probably qualify as a ponzi scheme. It’s hard to argue that a tax-supported government service falls into the same category as all those other things.
