So, to recap, this thread started with a passive-aggressive accusation, you backed it up with another passive-aggressive comment, somebody responded to you, and then you got mad at them for being angry about the wrong thing (without, y’know, actually saying what they should be mad about!)

There’s a documentary about flat earthers called Behind the Curve where they do try to prove the earth is flat.

I had to start using it again for work. It’s improved. It has a Unix terminal now. Still annoying as fuck in a lot of ways, and the community sucks. A lot of stuff that you can get for free on Linux costs money, and even though some Linux software should work in theory, in practice it does not.

I’m a former Mac cultist, but in my defense it was my first experience with computers.

There are folks who are passionate about Windows, but those folks are also highly unlikely to use something like Lemmy.

It’s more than that. Linux needs community for support.

I used to know a kid who was a hardcore Windows stan. He wasn’t terribly bright. He had a business idea for a company called “Hackers For Hire” where he would come to your house and show you how to download commercial software for free.
