    My friend working at a major museum in the U.S. brought me up to the roof once, and as we were walking down dusty dimly lit halls he pointed out some pole weapons which were determined to be fake but the conditions of the donation were that they had to keep everything, so they were just leaning in a corner.

      We auctioned a lot off when I was at a museum. Every fucking professor that died and got their crap donated never labeled half their specimens, so many random hand axes. Lots of them got used in an education loan collection too.

    Sure, you go and “curate” and put only half of the donation in the exhibition area and it’s “fine” but when my zoo gets a panda on loan and I decide to do the same, everybody’s all mad all of a sudden.
