Italy's State police on Wednesday arrested 12 people in a nationwide operation targetting a white-supremist, neo-Nazi group called 'Werwolf Division' which was allegedly planning attacks on high institutional figures including Premier Giorgia Meloni. (ANSA)
Meloni is from the Brothers of Italy party, who derive from (and use the logo of) the MSI, which is the continuation of Mussolini’s Republican Fascist Party. So she’s pretty much a direct heir of Mussolini in terms of party politics.
Also the pact of steel expired in 1949, and really started seeing some rough times already when Italy changed sides in the war. It’s almost as if my point wasn’t literal.
