It’s not brain rot if the internet is an outlet where you can be who you truly are. It’s the rest of the world that is fucked for forcing people to hide their interests and identity.

Real life is ruined by the blunt and ignorant people that spew hatred and division everywhere. Best to avoid them by having good friendships and using the internet as a substitute

inside you there are 2 monkeys: one is a chimpanzee munching on the flesh of its enemies and one is a bonobo tossing off 5 others simultaneously.

we need to seal the chimp inside a block of concrete and give the bonobo a big stage to perform on

True. If anyone in my social surroundings found out I like femboys and Tomboys they would be weirded out and shun me from their socials, I guess. The internalized shame is so strong, but why?

Yeah, internalized shame is a hell of a thing, but - at least in my view - it is good to realize that it is forced upon us and not something that comes from within ourselves. It is hard to unlearn, but very liberating to do so, even if the possibilities to live the way we want is limited.

What makes you think there’s a trans girl involved? Could just be a femboy. Also, there’s nothing wrong with bi dudes liking trans girls.

Because the idea that a man attracted to trans women could not be straight is transphobic. Trans women are women and a man attracted to women can be straight regardless of whether they’re trans or cis.

Not sure what that has to do with what I said. I didn’t suggest anyone should be compelled to have sex with anyone…

Nah. Even if it’s hetero, it’s probably not straight. Straightness is similar to whiteness; simply a term to say “you’re normal and deserving of respect.” It’s a normal word, not simply a descriptive one.

Dating a nonbinary person as a binary person is definitionally hetero, but hard to call straight. An agender person and a bigender person would totally be het, but totally not be straight. If it’s not a relationship between 2 monogamous, cishet people assigned opposite sexes at birth, it’s weird and unnatural.

Bigots can literally gatekeep straightness from a cishet woman dating a cisbi man. It’s like a tainting of her for being with a queer person, even if neither she nor the relationship is queer. It doesn’t matter if they’re monogamous for life; it’s one drop of queerness poisoning their ability to be normal. They’d need to hide his true orientation.

You definitely have a point there, although I would say that any person with interest in cis-hetero relationships only could call themselves straight.

Mods here deleted my comment, idk why tho. Seems like a classic case of: "bisexuality is le heckerino transphobia!!1!!1!

I think boils down to “similar optics, different gender identity”, but I’m neither of these flavors so I really don’t know. But for this joke, I think either works.

Calling for assistance: we need a ruling here. Halp.

i would say femboys are generally seen as not wanting to be female, just feminine. Same as how crossdressing doesn’t make you trans, it just means you like crossdressing.

a term sometimes used synonymously with femboy is tomgirl, as a mirror to tomboy, and you wouldn’t start calling tomboys trans men would you? They’re people who identify as female but present less femininely.

so the feminine character is a femboy and not trans because of the bi flag in panel 2? also what’s the difference between a femboy and tomgirl?
the more I read this thread the more confused I get 😓

I used to work in a pizza place, and the head cook was from Mexico working on his citizenship. He helped me with my Spanish, and I’d help him with his English. One day, we discovered that jokes was a good way to discover any loss in translations, so jokes became our preferred method of conversation.

One day he said he’s got a great joke, but he’s not sure if it’ll work in English, so he’s asks to tell me if it works. I tell him to hit me. The joke:

A guy and his girlfriend have been together long enough to move in with each other. Being a new(ish) couple, they’re still pretty frisky. Every time they’re finished and basking in the after glow, she plays with his junk, just gently kneading the balls in their sack. After a few months, he asks her why does she always play with his balls afterwards. She looks him dead in the eye with a Mona Lisa smile, gently kisses his lips and whispers in his ear “because i miss mine.”

He asked if the joke works in English. When i quit laughing, i said it does. That was 2006, and it’s still one of my favorite jokes to this day.
