Fortunately the looneys are splitting the vote and lack the competence to not implode, but I’d suggest Farage did more to win the last general election for Labour than Starmer did.
The UK government are so scared of right wing populists they would rather suffocate the economy with austerity than mention closer EU ties.
The problem is that right wing populists vote in all elections.
