Is this not basically a civil war? Having Texas national guard deployed in another state with its own national guard? They should deploy the IL national guard to stop the invasion of an out of state force.

It is the POTUS (ugh) moving troops around internally. There are a lot of norms and maybe even some laws it violates, but it isn’t a civil war until a significant force fights back. The Texas National Guard (and the Illinois National Guard) are arms of the Commander In Chief at the end of the day.

People think Chicago will. And while I would probably put them in a top twenty crazy ass prideful cities list, I sincerely doubt it. What I DO expect to have happen is a few morons will bring guns to the protests and get a whole lot of people gunned down and further martial law pushed to prevent organizing. And then the local Illinois national guard can take over stomping on necks and all that fun.

Yes. The war already started. How are you able to assist in the fight back? (I don’t mean answer me, I mean it’s time to be seriously asking yourself this and taking action.)

Is this not basically a civil war?

Internal colonization refers to the systemic exploitation and marginalization of subordinate ethnic, racial, or regional groups within a single country, treating them similarly to how external colonial powers treat colonized peoples. This process involves the unequal distribution of resources, economic restrictions, political disenfranchisement, and cultural suppression, where a dominant group within the state extracts wealth and power from its own internal “colonies”.
