When using this condensed view and having posts darkened on open the image darkened when the image is expanded also.
It’s not a big issue, I can still read shitposts clearly but it’d be nice to have it not darkened as soon as the image is expanded.

This is a setting that is configurable. Settings > Posts feed > Post appearance > Dim read posts.
Yeah, I like that setting so much that I read all my posts dimmed.
The thing is I can never see an image in the feed without it being dimmed since it’s read as soon as I expand the post.
So I’m thinking marking things as read when it’s scrolled out of view is better and also after unexpanding.
