I have tried to find this myself or find a COOP website(s) that can help me find such a website, but cannot.

Do anyone know of any COOP Websites for Internet Communications, like Message Boards?

You’re on one right now LoL.

Apologies my point is FOSS Software fills the need of internet communication. Just find an instance that fits you or learn to self host

    • I there is a lot of different types of COOP, but I was thinking this way, why I said, COOP websites, the whole website(s) is COOP & all participants have a responsibility work together to keep all of the website(s) working, not just the feed talking about COOP. To me any type of COOP starts with every psingle participant have a responsibility to keep it operating properly & vote on as many as possible decisions.

No need to apologize. FLOSS software?

You are in fact posting this on a server ( slrpnk.net ) that is run by a coop like group ( f-hub.org ) and we hope to eventually become an official worker’s coop in the future.

(Sorry for the highjack I just love expressing personal success)

Awesome! Any particular reasons you’re pursuing a workers’ coop model, rather than a multi-stakeholder coop model or users’ coop model?

Well, it is still open for discussion. A worker coop seems closer to what we are currently doing, but if we change more towards providing services to users, that would be another option. Anyway, this isn’t something that will happen soon and things are moving very slowly.

FOSS stands for Free Open Source Software. It’s what Lemmy and everything else of the Fediverse is.

You don’t need to pay for its usage. Just download and set up with responsibility of maintaining being yours and any friends that are interested in being involved.

It’s why I said you don’t need a COOP. Just basic server hardware (like a laptop running a docker.) that has say the XMPP (and a communication system that is FOSS) software and your good to go.

Oversimplified, point is COOP not required

            • I am sorry, for not making it understood enough, I am saying (reference my reply about my definition of COOP) cannot be COOP if moderating is done by few & there is real check on their power. Every feed here, there is no all participants cycle through the moderating role & no check, no one above them, evaluation by all, on their actions. Before yesterday, there had been multiple times on this website, where other members & moderators have been BLANKS, even broke clearly feed’s definitions to remove my posts & one banned me! Thinking of I am probably headed towards leaving this website forever, but yesterday was perfect, like it started out to be.

You could check out https://social.coop/about if you’re looking for microblogging.
If you’re in Denmark https://ukrudt.net/ and https://data.coop/ run a variety of communication services for members.
    Likewise with https://konstellationen.org/ in Sweden.
If you need email there’s https://kollektiv.email/.
If you have more organisation-type needs there’s https://mayfirst.coop/ and https://commonscloud.coop/

Would be good to make a directory of cooperative digital services providers. Maybe there is one somewhere?
