There really needs to be a United Nations charter or something like that, that dictates that if a worker is displaced because of AI than a portion of the profit gain by the company for doing so must be given to the worker. Either that, or put restrictions on AI in general that prevent it from replacing workers, I would also say robotics deserve to be looked at as well.
I mean, some of the top brass in AI are asking for all AI development to be paused so this can be discussed in more detail. But the request seems to have fallen on def ears or money hungry corporations, at least one of the two for sure.
Call me crazy but I really think this is just about transfer of wealth. I think the powers that be would love to no longer have a middle class, and only an upper class and peasants
Of course, their rule is stronger without a middle class.
