neat, though I’ve never really gotten into mastodon stuff. no idea what calckey is either. The magick group doesn’t seem to be synced over here on fedia/kbin.
Yes, that’s a peculiarity of federating with new servers. Once you subscribe to the community through your home server, you (and everyone else in your server) will start to see the new posts in that community.
Calckey is similar to Mastodon, but more… fun and quirky. Both are compatible - Calckey users can follow and talk to Mastodon users and vice versa. Check out my profile to see what it looks like. Signup is easy (no email required), and you can always stop using it if you don’t like it :)
The cool thing is, if you already have a Mastodon or Calckey account, you don’t need Lemmy or kbin. Just search for “occult@lemmy.blahaj.zone” (or any other community) and click Follow. You can then upvote, share, comment from any of these services because all of them talk to each other.
I see. I’m not sure I’ll end up joining since I’m not the biggest fan of mastodon. if I figure out how to get it synced here though I’ll participate :)
