I think there was some reasoning that this would be a long way off due to technical reasons, but still, until then.

Good note on the instances removing kbin communities (is this defederation?), my instance in Sync for Lemmy is showing the links you shared as a website and not a normal federated community.
Oof yeah agreed.
If it’s the case for background polling, perhaps it could be done foreground while the Sync is being used?
Looking forward to it! I’ve only realised just now that I have replies to my comments because I checked my inbox for the first time in 2 months 😅
It would help if there is a notification circle on the inbox icon in the sidebar too? I don’t have the bottom bar as another commenter had shared as I prefer to use sidebar only.
Okay, in the meantime, how do I export my subscriptions from Google Podcasts?
Oh hey, I actually looked into alternative keyboards on Android the other day. Stumbled on Unexpected Keyboard, where the “press and hold” alternative symbols are accessible by swiping in the direction of it from its key instead. I think because it’s FOSS, they’ve also added a whole bunch of other keyboard support such as ctrl and some unicode keys.
I’ve found that I prefer to tap and hold to get the alternative keys, but I loved the additional keys it had that were within easy visibility. Though it did look quite clustered that the default Samsung keyboard that I’m used to.
I think I have this.
It’s hard for me to communicate online to my coworkers who do not have a profile picture. And then when I do meet them in person, I don’t recognise them straight away the next time I pass by them (or worse, in a social function).
The ways I remember people by are their mannerisms and everything else about them, except for their physical appearance. But because people change styles and environments change, it’s hard to instantly recognise them on the third or more times I see them.
Try Hermit on Android then. You’re looking for a PWA wrapper app that lets you add them to your homescreen. Then again, your Android web browser should already have this with the “Add to homescreen” feature.
Exclamation mark denotes the community, so:

The @ is the username indicator, so you’ve pinged people whose usernames are those for the instance.
That sounded a little dark; “Go X about it” “X’ing this because I think this is controversial” “Go create an X of yourself”
Look for the ℹ️ button in the ad, or some form of informational button that will bring up more options without actually opening the ad.
That should give you some options to work with.
