I mean, I’ve got boxes full of physical books and self hosted movies and Tv. At that point, I’ll just stop using the internet. I need to go outside more anyway.

when I was 39, I dated someone that was 23. Never again. If I were to date again, 10 years older or younger would probably be my limit. Ideally, 5 years would probably be the best dating pool.

Jeremy by Pearl Jam. I loved that song back in the day and radio ruined it.
Also, Gone Away by Offspring. It was such an amazing song when it came out.

I already don’t care. haven’t watched a new show or movie in ages. I’m going through my 90’s tv collection right now and it’s fantastic.
I was married til I was 38 (now 48). Got divorced, kids were grown, so I dated. A LOT. I’ve come to the conclusion that if you are single after 40, you are a basket case. EVERYone that I dated was crazy. Fun, but crazy. I’m just too old for that now. lol. I’d rather read books and hang out with my cat. And yes, I realize people probably think I’m crazy too. #crazycatgentlemen

I already assume most big companies do this. I work in IT and while we have the ability, I don’t bother. I don’t care if someone is checking FB or social media as long as they aren’t breaking anything. But this should be a warning to IT folks in big tech, they will replace you with bots as soon as they can. They don’t care about you or what you create. All they want is money and power.

good reminder to delete my account. I’ve been purging accounts that I no longer use and this reminded me that I had an account with them.

a podcast by a man that sounds like a garbage disposal full of chicken bones. just what we need.

I shop deals at my local market. I can usually get the fancy coffee that’s about to expire 2 for 1. I just keep it in the freezer to last longer.

Norelco makes a body shaver that is pretty great. The Body Groomer. It’s a little pricey but it works well.

good way to make sure I never buy your product.

I wanted to read a classic that I’ve never read before. Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. I’m reading it on Libby. It’s good so far. Different from what a lot of movie and TV adaptations have been.

Made me do a double take. The way the world is right now, it wouldn’t be the most shocking thing.

as I lost weight, I tailored all of my clothes. I do some wood working too so I’ve made bags, tool rolls, etc… I just bought a pattern for a blue jean jacket and I’m going to use my old fat pants to make a jacket. Blue jean jackets are very expensive right now for some reason, even used. The pattern was $15 on ebay, and the material I already have.

keepass and syncthing are free.
two thumbs up! I started a #nobuy lifestyle about a year ago. I only buy essentials. Gas, (because I live in a car-centric hellscape) food basics, and soda water because I quit alcohol and it helps. That’s it. I repair my clothes and thrift shop if I just have to have something “new”. My food bill is still 30-40% higher even after cutting out everything extra but I refuse to pay $7 for a bag of chips. I was in a Dollar General the other day for cat food, and a 12 pack of Sprite was $9. $9! at the dollar store. Ridiculous!
