i think it would be a good idea for celebrities to provide a service, like a meet & greet or an autograph in exchange for people donating. i still think it’s unbecoming for them to ask for donations without either donating a large amount themselves or giving something in return

I’m a Canadian contractor that works on post-storm restoration all over North America. America does not maintain or do anything proactive with it’s utility infrastructure, it just fixes it when it breaks.

yeah, the problem with a pre-installed OS is that you don’t know what’s in it, the carrier could have installed a fork or spyware that defeats the purpose of GrapheneOS.

it’s much more secure to download, verify, and install the OS to your phone yourself.

hopefully people wake up to all the bad-faith surveillance happening and become willing to take that step, which is much easier than it sound
