Privacy@lemmy.ml•Microsoft warns that Windows 11's agentic AI could install malware on your PC: "Only enable this feature if you understand the security implications"
16·1 day agoWhat a world we live in where not only does something like this happen, but that it’s allowed to happen. Companies don’t even get a slap on the wrist anymore, they can just do whatever they want now without any repercussions, that’s what’s really scary about this.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•Many EU states want to allow the US access to biometric police data
41·7 days agoIt seems like every time I seen news from the EU, it’s about how they’re frothing at the mouth to give up even more sovereignty to the US in exchange for literally nothing. Can someone living in the EU please explain what’s going on?

1·16 days agoRight now LibreOffice, Writer specifically. I’ve been getting back into writing big time over the last few months and having a dependable word processor that’s not crammed with AI tools I don’t want and that I know is FOSS has been great.

151·16 days agoI love how in a year where we get great and unique movies like One Battle After Another, It Was Just an Accident, Weapons, and Caught by The Tides, Hollywood looks at them, shrugs their shoulders, and says “I don’t know, another Mummy I guess?”
