More and more I remember Kreia telling The Exile that “apathy is death”.

Nah, this one’s OFFFICIALLY non-governmental and just makes “suggestions”. Because you can’t just create new departments, nor get rid of them, without Congressional approval.
For those thinking “well this couldn’t include things like the military”, it ABSOLUTELY CAN AND WILL. The GOP wanted someone who will run the country like a business, AND THIS is how business is run now - absorb a company, strip it for parts to sell off, move onto the next company, repeat. “The next company” here being, likely, another country.
AND you have two other great mages to hang around with, so you can combo off each other real easy.
Part of the crew, part of the ship…
Ehhh, there’s still lively debate, but the general consensus is that the whole “we’ll deport the Jews/undesirables” thing was mostly a smokescreen, and the plan was always to either place them in work camps or kill the ones that couldn’t work. The camps came AFTER a lengthy campaign of extermination against “useless eaters” such as the elderly, the chronically ill, and the mentally and physically disabled, which was billed as “well they’re a huge drain on state resources.”
I think it’ll wind up as slavery. Instead of actually deporting huge numbers of people, they’ll go “wow so it turns out that’s really hard” and use them as prison labor instead. You don’t have to pay prison laborers.
The CIA has good reason to believe Trump gave information, because in the span of several weeks after a private meeting with Putin while Trump was president, a whole pile of their Russian and Eastern European intelligence agents and assets dropped off the face of the Earth or wound up dead.
“But Trump will stop me having to hear about all these wars.”
Fixed for you. I heard the same from my mom - that it was a REAL SHAME Biden wasn’t trying to force Russia and Ukraine to peace.
Yeah. I think MUSK bought it because it sounded cool and he got suckered into it. I think he got the funding for it because the people who funded him (like the Saudis) saw an opportunity to get an easy mark to break the system for them.
Nah, Reagan did it easy. Plenty of people will be totally ok with banning guns if THOSE PEOPLE start carrying and using them.
Arguably he’s done that one over and over in his speeches, and with the Central Park Five, and with the other people I’m sure he’s fantasized about killing over the years.
“Dumb person who has been promised some sort of high-power administrative position in the incoming US presidential administration” changes the math a bit.
The guy who initially authored the bill voted against it so he wouldn’t have to give the Democrats a win. That’s where we’re at.
Less “fascism is popular” and more “people are so desperate for SOMEBODY actually promising change that they’ll vote for anyone offering it, no matter if it’s good or bad.”
Status quo politics is pretty much dead in the water and arguably has been since 2016. People don’t want “I’ll keep everything on a steady course,” they want someone who sounds like they’re going to take charge, and Trump provided that.
Nah, the 25th just means he’s physically or mentally unfit to perform the office. At the least, I expect Vance to be a shadow president.
I honestly think he’ll get 25th’d out of office pretty soon after the inauguration, and then JD Vance will take over.
Nothing states WHERE the President has to be sworn in. LBJ was sworn in on Air Force One. I believe Andrew Johnson was sworn in at the house where Lincoln lay dying.
If you had actually ASKED the Sioux of the Black Hills about this, you’d know they’ve told pretty much everyone “yeah we don’t like Mt Rushmore, we don’t like Crazy Horse’s relief carving either, but we think destroying them is more disrespectful than just leaving them to fall apart on their own.” Like, this isn’t an uncommon thought. It’s just more complex than “blow them up”.
She’d better get the ball rolling fast. States are already looking at their divorce laws anticipating that no-fault divorce will get SCOTUS’d.
