I do think it’s shifted from people to groups. Still has ‘my cousin’s new baby’ but also much more hobbies, cities, marketplace, and political groups.

Only if you man in it a “you people” kind of way - like y’all need to stay with your own kind- or something like that.
Can you guys help explain it to someone completely inexperienced?
I had Twitter but only used it for following music venues to see upcoming events and bars for happy hour updates. I have a Mastodon account but only played with it for a few minutes because i didn’t really get it. I don’t understand following a person. What can one person have to say that i would care enough about to download an app. What am i missing?
As my mom would say- I woke up on the right side of the dirt.
Cool. Can you explain what that is, please? And what’s the white stick thing?
They’re so cute!! My DIL doesn’t want to see her family for Thanksgiving so we rented a house out of town for the weekend. It has llamas and I’m so excited to just sit and watch them. I hope i get to pet them!
We’re all going out of town so my DIL has an excuse for skipping her family’s Thanksgiving.
Nice fucking kitties
I have to fax docs a lot. Couple of years ago we started using stonefax so it’s like an email. I wish the faxing was the worst part - most take 1-3 calls to the doc to get them sent back.
I would say this a thousand times before i would say snap.
I’m in Texas in a blue bubble - more than i had realized i guess. 80% of the people i know are blue. I work in public education, so most of the red people i know were considering voting blue because of the push for school vouchers. I rarely see maga stuff and the yard signs around me were 80% Harris. Because of that i was completely shocked last Tuesday by the popular vote and it’s left me kind of disoriented. My husband works in redville, so he’s disgusted and exhausted. My adult sons are sad, mad, scared. My DIL has called me crying a few times - her parents are trumpsters and she wants to cut them out. Luckily we have enough cash on hand to help the kids get passports ASAP and enough savings to briefly go out of state/country if she needs healthcare. I 70% believe that Republican infighting will slow them down and it won’t be as bad as feared, 30% ready for the leopards!
I don’t know the brand. My mom got it from a neighbor - she thought it was a cat lifejacket. 🤣🤣 We used it when one had an infected bite on her leg after a bad fight with her adopted sister. It was only for a few days, but i dint remember her having issues.
Have you tried the small inflatable ones?
I don’t think mine shows weather. Is there a setting for that somewhere?
“Why is there so much yarn everywhere?!”
Two weeks later when the weather cools off - “Can you make a hat for me?”
My husband always says, “Stop biting me!” but I think he’s faking.
Where are you coming from? Nasa in Houston is cool. Galveston is close- it’s not the prettiest beach, but it’s fun. San Antonio - i think it’s the best Texas city - Alamo, tacos, etc. New Orleans for music and beignets - if you stay overnight, I’d get off bourbon Street before midnight - last time i was there the late night crowds had increased leading to more fights.
ETA - Austin is ok, but If you go a little west of Austin, you’ll be in Hill country which is pretty. There’s a little german town called Fredericksburg. It’s kind of fun and may have their Christmas decorations out. Near Fredericksburg there’s Alstadt Brewery and Garrison Brothers whiskey distillery. Garrison is really nice with rocking chairs around fire pits and you may see deer and burros. Free to visit, you can buy whiskey samples by the flight, they have food there now too, I think the tour is about 20 bucks.
Behind the Bastards podcast does shows on both, i believe.
It wasn’t why Mastodon. It was why Twitter or twitter-like apps.
