I live in Aotearoa New Zealand so we are lucky enough to still have a lot of local owned brands and i live rural so I have neighbours farmstalls and my own produce options.

I’m doing a full boycott of all American or American owned Mega corps. Pride themed cookies isn’t enough for me, I want to a fair pay structure at all levels of their supply chain, more accountability on their environmental impacts, and a stance against facisim. Until then, I’ll just buy as local as I can and bake my own 🫤

We have different values, I guess. I don’t think tolerating intolerance is acceptable. I think tolerance of intolerance is essentially condoning it. I don’t see how silencing hate speech will “come back to bite me” any worse than the environment it creates. Allowing violence in language encourages violence of other forms, slippery slopes and all that.

You can point the finger in the other direction, saying silencing speech is a slippery slope to limiting all speech, but I’m still confident in my beliefs that tolerating intolerance is the greater of the evils to me.

Paradox of tolerance. At this point in history it’s important to draw hard lines. It will be up to police enforcement and since generally police are sympathetic to white nationalism, i don’t think it will be used outside of public displays of clear intention.

There is overlap with some of the community members believing in 2 suns so not all of them will be open to logic. I figure it will be nice to actually have an understanding of the thing I support so I can answer questions more confidently.

It always gets me how these people will get xrays, go through airport security, own smart phones, use induction stoves, microwaves etc but when you try and improve the infrastructure they complain about, suddenly you’re Big Tech and trying to kill them with secret deep state Gs.

Reselling stuff gets a bit wishywashy ethically and it can be super stressful to invest in an inventory and then have to resell to get your money back (+profits). Do you have a special interest? Mine is plants so I do gardening, forestry, forestry, and horticulture jobs.
