I moved forward on a car purchase because modern cars contain lots of fancy electronics that could and probably will be impacted by tariffs.

I’m not saying you should buy a car that you weren’t otherwise planning to buy, but if you need something in the electronics area, moving it up a few months might not be a terrible idea.

Definitely not a binary situation. Did it live up to all expectations? Certainly not, but I hesitate to label it a failure if they use the chip in an appropriately-priced device.

I have a partial answer. The add-on has different modes for different degrees of bypassing. I’m sure the complete bypass would break it, but not sure about intermediate options.
