Having participated in the marketplace for a while, I am positive this is not true. Have you ever met a sales guy? They love executing on nonsensical strategies.

There’s a lot of dumb money still out there. The term “dumb money” doesn’t do it justice. We should call it “braindead money” instead.

That’s definitely not it. My wife has this issue. We have drawers and drawers, all empty - more than enough storage space. We also desperately need whatever baskets the clean clothes are occupying.

I once suggested that she make a rule for herself: fold every load before you add the next one. She just laughed.

I’ve even offered to take over the laundry 100%. I have no problem with that - I may just need to give her some of my things in return. (I do most of the dishes.) She does not want to do this, idk why

More often than not I blow through the amount of time I tell myself I’m going to spend. One of the few examples where lying to myself produces a positive result, and keeps working. even though, by now, I know I’m lying to myself.

Legally, the school is acting in loco parentis, granting it the necessary discretion to decide what is best for the students’ well being while school is in session. As long as the students’ civil rights are respected by the school, the school is well within their rights to perform parental functions. Also, social and emotional learning are part of the curriculum everywhere. Education has functions beyond rote learning, which is what makes us a society and not just a chaotic mass of tribes and individuals.

This is a very basic tenet of the social contract with regard to public schooling. The education system houses all the necessary expertise and pedagogical know-how to educate at scale. (Most parents are not experts in pedagogy, social/emotional learning, etc.) They are making this expertise available, FOR FREE (through taxes), to all children inside the borders of this country. In return, individual educators, departments, and schools reserve the right to decide how best to apply that expertise.

If parents disagree with that, if they are uncomfortable with that and they want more control, etc… that’s fine! What you don’t get to do, is fundamentally break the public system - for my kids and everyone else - just because you as a parent don’t like the fact that public school teachers are honoring your child’s humanity, civil rights, and teaching them to treat others the same. That’s anti-social behavior.

You are free to opt out of the public system entirely, forfeit its benefits, and either send your kids to a private school of your choosing, start your own private school, or homeschool your children. At your own expense. We all collectively pay taxes to subsidize real education in public schools, not the ideological whims and misadventures of rogue individuals, who have their own ideas about education. We know better.

I only run it to avoid social issues and/or because it’s the path of least resistance. And even then… I’ve only ever thought “I am doing A, B, & C, and avoiding X, Y & Z because they expect me to and it’s just easier”.

I know I don’t want to change my gender – there’s not much there to speak of in the first place. I simply want to do what I like. On the other hand, I know that this is “not normal” because most other guys seem way more attached to their gender, like it’s an existential threat to them if I cross an imaginary line while existing next to them. And they act compelled to know “what” other people are, as if they’ll implode because they won’t know how to be around them!

So the best thing for me to do is to get around people who care about other people LARPing at gender just as much as I do.

(To be clear, I have absolutely no problems with anyone else wearing the gender layers of their choice, and wearing them proudly. As long as they’re not an asshole. I actually kinda envy this, because for me it’s like wearing a parka in a hot car. Changing its color won’t do anything, I actually just don’t even want it, I want to live my life without carrying around these heavy rulesets for what color my shoes need to be. LMAO, hope you can find it in yourself to forgive me! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
