I currently have my homelab on a small shelf constructed from 4040 aluminium extrusion. If I could convert it to a rack, that would be epic, since right now it can be difficult to safely move.

Voyager is pretty slick. I think it’s UI is almost perfect and waay better than the Reddit UI.
Prime drink with next day Prime shipping on Prime day. What did I just type.
Not knowing is a sign of a healthy mind. You will sleep even better than Mr. Simpson in the meme.
This is literally me, except I left a comment here earlier today and when I saw the thread for a second time when looking at a reply, I also thought it was about Proton alla Wine.
Decibels seems to be an audio player to playback individual files, like maybe a voice memo or single music track. I personally use Gapless when I want to play music with shuffle and playlists.
I use Discord, though only in a web browser and only for semi-public chats. I might be using Discord less if I had gotten some friend groups onto something like Matrix.
Unlike a car which is bought once and is mostly outside of vendor control once you have it, Proton mail is a service that requires continuous trust in the company since they offer a service. This means I no longer trust Proton as much, which makes me much less inclined to use their services.
Nah, butter makes that bread even better, especially when it’s fresh.
They are also in your neighbor’s house too! Get the pitchforks!
On reddit, when A user account is deleted, their posts will just say “removed” and the account “deleted”, hence the association of the two.
They better have had traffic cones on their heads. The mental image that creates is quite funny with the contrast to the serious businesmen trying to sell AI one booth over.
With how easy it is to Massgrave to get a valid Windows key, I personally don’t even consider backing up windows keys lol.
I think it’s probably down to preference. I personally really like Fedora server because it comes pre-installed with the Cockpit webui which replaces the role of Portainer and makes other admin tasks like firewall openings and user management trivial. I’m definetly glad to have switched away from Ubuntu server which I was using before.
IIRC Meta was one of the first companies to publicly release a language model that you could run on your computer, called llama. Hence the naming of projects like llama.cpp and ollama.
Just went to login to my dedicated minecraft Microsoft account just for it to force me to add a secondary email before it would log me in. Enshitification at it’s finest.
I find the ad blocking in Gnome Web to be sufficient. The biggest thing that is holding it back in my opinion is a lack of features like extentions and FIDO support and moderate performance.
Once you’re a bit familiar with linux, arch becomes much more user friendly due to the Arch wiki and it’s wide coverage of topics. Knowing exactly what packages I need to use my Intel card to render with Blender is very handy. If you use a distro like EndeavorOS, you don’t even have to do any special setup: it installs like any other distro.
They use the front face scanner that’s used for Face ID, right? I’m pretty sure those have been on all iPhones since the 10 from 2017, so it’s hardly a bleeding edge feature considering it’s 8 years old. Having an iPhone as a hard requirement definitely sucks though.
I guess the cost is worth it to Google just to entrench themselves and their products even further into the lives of most people.
