For those outside of the US, 8th grade would be about 13-14 years old.

    Hm, I don’t remember well what I learned during my 8th grade, which in Brazil used to be ~14 years until a couple of years ago, so no idea how I’d compare.

    Considering how nonsensical English phonetics are, anything kids spelled for the first part should be right. Regarding geography, it certainly feels like anything regarding other countries was fully removed not long after.

      I did my 8th grade in central america, and for some reason they made us memorize the states of Brazil. I don’t remember any of the states of Brazil.

        Huh, now that’s super weird. We were barely tasked with learning things about Central America, other than the countries’ names and who was the original colonizing power
