If the old (or LTS) version of the kernel doesn’t support something newer, and the new version of the kernel does, that would not be a regression.
I learned this when Skylake first came out. Ubuntu LTS didn’t work on it because it was an old kernel and this was new hardware. If you have new hardware, use a new kernel.

My guess is that you are noticing the difference between new and old kernels

What Linux kernel are you running which isn’t supporting your hardware?

“Linux supported hardware” is an outdated phrase only used in windows propaganda today.

K, well you guys just won’t get quotes here from me then
I see the downvote. I just think sharing the news is more important than taking the time to quote it and then seeing in my mod logs that the whole post was deleted from the community because it was quoted.
I’m trying to share news, not figure out what a mods vague definition of what “fair use” is.

A family friend told Maine’s Total Coverage Joan Sebastian Guerrero was killed in the shooting Monday morning. She says Guerrero leaves behind a wife, 3-year-old child, and sister.
…
Surveillance video shows the moments leading up to and including the deadly ICE shooting in Biddeford, Maine. The video shows the white car that was shot at entering the intersection and beginning to turn right in a circle.
The video then zooms in on where the car comes to a stop, and officers can be seen removing the person from the car.
At noon, Sen. Angus King said he was told by Homeland Security that the person who was killed was a man in his 20’s who had been given an order to leave the country. He also said DHS told him that the person “weaponized the vehicle” and that they were shot by an ICE agent.
…
The Maine Immigrant Rights Coalition identified the victim as a 26-year-old man from Colombia. Mufalo Chitam, the group’s executive director, told CNN that the man was on his way to work. The group said the man was authorized to work in the US and was issued a social security number.
…
The vehicle was registered to a Jhonathan Ramires of Pool Street in Biddeford. ABC News spoke with someone who said they saw the person who was shot fixing his brakes in the parking lot at that address.
It is not clear if Ramires was the person who was shot.

Hope it stays that way, but it can happen anywhere.
Stay vigilant.

My posts get removed from the community if I point this out in the post. Thank you for doing it.

Maybe?
I’m not trying to play games. I’m trying to share news.

All fascists in military fatigues are the threat to the public.

Totally agree, but I think there is importance to keep the focus on the immediate cause of harm to the people.

I think it is more odd that a Fascist Paramilitary is murdering and terrorising people in the streets across the USA

Lol, thanks. Fixed

I thought so too until I saw posts being removed for quoting 11/14 paragraphs. I’m not too good at math but I think 11/14ths of a thing is not equal to 1

I am legitimately happy for that, however there is a lot you cannot say or do in many countries in the EU/UK I have seen people be imprisoned for holding up signs there.
I feel like my whole life I was lied to about what rights we have.
Anyway, reddit speech deserves shame, but you are allowed to give me gold.

I did, it has died

Sir, this is Lemmy
Saddly, when I quote things in this community the post gets removed. However I normally post things in other less restrictive communities for reasons like this.
