Exactly. The social aspect is why people do this in the first place.
Your average gay, married, software developer.
Exactly. The social aspect is why people do this in the first place.
I’m so tired of the constant attacks by these losers. Someone needs to shut them down.
While true, unfortunately the latest government spy bill is bipartisan. It will make end to end encryption for texts and chat illegal, using drug enforcement as the excuse.
Basically, a website can block you or treat you suspiciously based on whether or not this “feature” says that your computer or browser is approved and unmodified.
This can become a problem as more sites adopt this. You can be using a 2 year old device and suddenly your bank stops working because your device no longer shows up as approved. It can be used to artificially enforce obsolescence. The fix would be to buy a new device.
You could be using Linux or a 3rd party browser and many websites will become unavailable to you because they can never show up as approved and unmodified. It basically breaks the open web.
I never had that problem. In general, I don’t worry about sharting. I would see a doctor about it if I were you.
I would never buy from them anymore. I am fairly certain that explains why I could not access my games from years ago.
You Ex on X…. sounds like a drug thing
I remember reading Wizards First Rule in high school and being riveted. It was unlike any fantasy novel I had read to that point and it felt dark and exciting (although the Mord Sith torture sequence nearly lost me as a reader). I too drifted off at the sequels. It was like he didn’t know what else to say.
It’s a fox site. The comments on those sites were always akin to sewer water. Also the ads are cringe inducing.
The best part of this is that the AI could not come up with original content. All it can do is repeat what humans already output. I would say games journalism is safe from an AI takeover. Now we just need to get rid of the bot spam.
Isn’t this what /u/spez was also concerned about? AI mining Reddit for content?
It’s up to you to give your life meaning. Just because things suck, doesn’t mean it’s time to throw in the towel. Imagine the Bronze Age humans, who were getting killed over idols and and some random warlord’s whims. They persisted in the face of adversity so we exist today. Imagine the lives of the enslaved, raped, and oppressed native Americans and Africans in the face of Spanish rule in South America. They persisted with no clear future freedom in sight.
I could go on about humans facing horrible situations but my point is this: throughout history we have always faced a dark situation as a result of other human actions but we always found a reason to persist… or even fight back.
You can definitely tell the writing was AI. The characters spoke like they are in an infomercial. I couldn’t watch the whole thing.
I am looking forward to the massive population plunge… as is the rest of the earth. Hopefully, with less humans we can have better social programs and more earth friendly usage of resources.
Smart phones. Not even Star Trek could predict we would all be walking around with a slab of glass that is exponentially more powerful than computers that took up entire rooms, can communicate with others sub-second via voice, images, video, or text, can access the sum total of public human knowledge at the blink of an eye, and can guide you to any location with a map for everywhere you want to go. It’s really powerful stuff and it’s in everyone’s hands.
It just takes time for these communities to form.
The speed is not impressive, but the fact that did it at all is interesting.
Well, here is the problem: the right wing has made it their platform to go after certain classes of people. I can debate you all day long about the economy or gun control or taxes. I should not have to debate you on my right to exist and thrive as a citizen.
Some great conversation here. Thanks everyone who responded so far!
How many of you have received these calls? I got a ton of them along with my husband and siblings.
