There have been trolls who select an instance with no membership applications and then start posting their garbage. There may have been some from Fapsi, but I don’t remember Fapsi having become any kind of safe haven for trolls. The instance also looks like having actual content, so I don’t see any point in defederating from it.
I think we do have valuable content and users.
When I get aware of content or users that are violating rules, I’ll remove them as soon as possible. But it’s possible that I don’t get aware of some comments/posts/users, and it looks like not many people are using the report function, so it may be possible that some comments/posts/users are available for a short while longer.
As the provider and administrator, I can assure that I will take appropriate action against illegal content as soon as I get aware.

yeah, i saw that there were a wave of trolls coming from Beehaw, but they seem to have managed the problem. as for the domain i mentioned, i’ve seen a ton of trolling come from there for as long as i can remember, but i’ll concede that maybe i’m not remembering correctly. i fully support defederation with lemmy.ml, but that’s beside the point

Can you elaborate? The only active communities on fapsi is writers lodge and creativity which is fine in my book.
Are you concerned about their name? or you had some negative experience with them specifically?
no, i just keep seeing trolls pop up which all seem to come from that particular domain
